Chapter Retreat Chapter retreat is a sweet time of sisterhood. Each semester, we spend a weekend worshipping the Lord and learning about Him.
Sisterhood Events We host sisterhood events throughout the semester. These events are fun times for us to bond as sisters in Christ. Examples of past sisterhood events include workout classes, outdoor movie nights, stuffed animals making, and charcuterie board.
Covenant Groups Each member of Phi Lamb is placed in a covenant group. These meet once a week and are a time of fellowship, vulnerability, and prayer.
Big / Little Each member gets her own big, making up Phi Lamb families! These families consist of bigs, littles, grandbigs, aunts, and cousins.
New Member Retreat Each semester, shortly after recruitment and officer introductions, our new members get to participate in a fun weekend retreat either on campus or off-campus. Fun activities like laser tag, bowling, sleepovers and shared meals give new members the opportunity to get to know each other. Retreat is usually followed by an induction ceremony, where the entire chapter gets to celebrate the new members' commitment to joining Phi Lamb!
Initiation One of the most sacred times of sisterhood! Initiation is a beautiful ceremony which honors the commitment of our new members and celebrates the traditions and history of Sigma Phi Lambda. Once initiated, new members are considered active members of Phi Lamb!
SERVICE
World Vision Our philanthropy is World Vision. Each semester we host an event on campus to raise money for this organization.
Individual Service Each member participates in one of the many community service opportunities provided. This is a time to reach and help the Fort Worth community.
SOCIAL
Formal Each semester, we get dressed up to dance the night away. This is a night full of desserts, dresses, music, and fun!
Victory This event is all about fun! Each fall, we plan a fun event that our members are free to bring dates to! In the past, this has ranged from mixers/dances with other greek chapters, Six Flags over Texas, to "Bring Your Boo to the Zoo!"
Family Weekend Each semester we host an event where our families come to see what Phi Lamb is about! In the fall this usually falls on TCU's Family Weekend, but does not interfere with any university events! We host fun events and meals over the weekend for this special time of bonding.
Outreach Each year, we host a big outreach event/party and invite the broader TCU community! One previous outreach event was a 90's theme party which we hosted with our brother fraternity, BYX! We also have hosted student prayer events on canvas, like See You At The Pole.
